Removal
Over time, you may want to remove your breast implants because of leakage or a breakdown in the outer material, or because you want to exchange the old implants for new ones, which should be done every 10 to 15 years.
Implant removal surgery takes out the implant and any leaked material within the breast and removes any tough scar tissue that may have formed after the implant was initially inserted.
